Relax...Unwind...Restore

Guests have use of the front garden which is a delightful place to sit back and relax with a book or a with a drink or two, or if you're a bit of a night owl, wait until late when the dark skies provide a backdrop for star gazing, shooting stars and the milky way.

The porch is also a welcome shelter where you can enjoy a spot of bird watching or catch our hens up to their antics!

Discover…Adventure…Explore

Located next to the Northumberland National Park whose dramatic hills and sheltered valleys stretch from Hadrians Wall to the Scottish Borders, and everything in between; we are excellently located for mini- adventures, walking and cycling (the Sandstone Way is literally on our doorstep). We have washing facilities for bikes, secure storage, and we are happy to dry soggy clothes!

The Northumberland Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is among the finest landscapes in the country. It was designated in 1958 and covers 39 miles of coast from Berwick to the Coquet Estuary.

Within this stretch of coastline is some of the most amazing coastal scenery - sweeping sandy beaches, rolling dunes, high rocky cliffs and isolated islands.

Castles…Forests…Coasts…

Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England and boasts over 70 castle sites. Many have long since disappeared, some, like Dunstanburgh Castle and Berwick Castle, are romantic ruins. See others in their fully restored glory - like Bamburgh Castle and of course Alnwick.

Forests and woodlands dot the landscape of Northumberland - our nearest being Blue Mill and Thrunton Woods.

Our beautiful coastlines offer a plethera of sandy beaches, islands and stunning seascapes all within an hours drive away.
